Believe in Yourself for Weight Loss Success

Leading busy lives, feeling overwhelmed with balancing work, kids and home can also cause us to over eat or eat on the run. Given these factors, how can we stay motivated and keep our desire for weight loss on track?

When we shed even a small amount of weight, we reap a ton of health benefits.

Believe In Yourself For Weight Loss SuccessOur chances of developing diseases such as diabetes and heart disease drops. We are less likely to suffer from sleep apnea. Energy increases as we become more active and we produce more feel-good hormones when we exercise.

These are all fantastic reasons to validate why you should lose weight, but remember you are human and there will be times when you aren’t feeling motivated.

The good thing is you have already overcome the first hurdle by wanting to lose weight.  So believe in yourself and follow these tips to keep you motivated.


  1. Set yourself realistic goals
  2. Commit to a particular exercise or exercise program and commit to an amount of time you’ll be active every day and every week. Plan on doing some form of physical activity or exercise for at least one hour every day, 45 minutes a day minimum.
  3. Break down your weight loss into monthly targets
  4. Chart your goals. When you write down your progress it acts as a deterrent and keeps you motivated.
  5. Reward yourself when you hit your goals (get a manicure or massage, buy a new lipstick)
  6. If you slip-up, don’t be too hard on yourself. Get back on track tomorrow.
  7. Get the family involved. It’s extremely hard to stick to a healthy diet and exercise plan when you’re the only one doing it. You should get everyone in your household (with some modifications for age) so that you will all benefit
  8. Don’t give up.

It’s important to believe in yourself for weight loss success as it is normal for your weight-loss journey to have peaks and plateaus. Follow these tips to keep you motivated to stick to your exercise and healthy eating plans and remember weight loss success is a long-term plan. Believe in yourself and you can make it.
