5. Millet

Millet is another very small whole grain that is available in numerous colors, including white, yellow, red or gray. It has a rich savory taste and can be eaten whole or pureed.

It is low in calories, and high in nutrients, such as protein, manganese, phosphorus, dietary fiber.

This healthy grain also helps to develop and reinforce body tissue, as well as, lowering the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
