When making changes to your lifestyle, diet or ‘old’ regime, don’t expect too much from yourself too soon or set yourself unrealistic goals. Think about why it is important for you to make the changes and adopt a smarter approach by thinking of ‘change’ more in terms of you achieving a greater state of health and wellbeing.

Should you embark on a detox program, then listening to your body will not only mean you can identify the differences but you will be also be able to use that knowledge to modify your eating and learn to stop eating when you feel full.

Listening to your body may also require you to free yourself from your emotions of your past. If you are emotionally ‘stuck’, perhaps a visit to a therapist or specialist coach will help you uncover the subconscious blockages that are holding you back from the ‘healthier you’ so now you can start to be kinder to yourself.
