Juice Cleanse 101

How To Start Your Juice Cleanse 101

Are you aware, when you buy pre-packaged juice at the store they have been preserved by pasteurization? This means the juices have been heated up to high temperatures to destroy any microbes. However, during the preservation process, some of the nutrients and natural enzymes in the juice become denatured. In Juice Cleanse 101 we explain how you can derive the full health benefits of juicing – at home by preparing and drinking it fresh.

Juice Cleanse 101Juicing is a method commonly used to separate the juice from fruits, vegetables, pulp and fibers. It is an easy way to meet the nutritional needs of our body and it also helps the body to easily digest essential nutrients, and especially those found in vegetables.

Using Juicing To Cleanse the Body

Juicing is an excellent way to cleanse the body and get rid of toxins. Some of these toxins build up in the body due to poor dietary choices, such as eating too many processed foods and restaurant meals, high alcohol intake or stress (to name a few).

When embarking on a juice cleansing diet, it is recommended that you drink about two liters of water a day and abstain from alcohol, nicotine, sugar, dairy and caffeine. Juicing does not mean total meal replacement and in most cases (talk to you doctor before embarking on any diet) it is safe to adopt a 7 day juice cleansing diet whereby different juices are ingested over a period of 7 days along with regular meals of fresh fruit and vegetables.
The best time to consume your juice is in the morning, preferably before breakfast and when combined with a regular exercise routine you can successfully achieve a body cleanse.

Once you have decided to start a juice cleansing diet then fun can begin. There are so many different fruit and vegetable combinations you can use to for cleansing the body with juice. Strawberries, pumpkins, grape juice and cranberry juice, papaya, pear, beetroot, bananas, carrots, lemon, and peaches are all effective in helping the body cleanse toxicity.

Types Of Juicers

There are different types of juicers available on the market all with differing pros and cons.

  • A high-end kneader juicer will release the juice from the fiber of fruits and vegetables.
  • A centrifugal juicer is unable to break down the fiber in the fruits and leaves the pulp behind and valuable nutrients are lost in the process.
  • Masticating juicers are generally considered the best choice for deriving the maximum health benefits of juicing.

If you really want to get the best nutrition from juicing it pays to have the vital ingredients and the right equipment. The only equipment necessary for you to get started on your juice cleanse 101 is a juicer.
