Difference Between Gluten Allergy and Gluten Intolerance

Many people confuse having an intolerance to gluten with a gluten allergy which is a medical condition known as Celiac disease. This may be due to the difficulty in diagnosing the disease.

Diagnosing celiac disease requires a biopsy of the small intestines and / or a blood test. Celiac disease can actually be very dangerous with the risk of intestinal cancers developing in some individuals if not treated properly.
