Did you know lemons contain the antioxidant powers of vitamin C together with citric acid, bioflavonoid – specifically rutin, and limonine for anti-tumor activity?

Used internally or externally, lemons can act to help in a variety of ways including:

  • Colds – the vitamin content helps fight off colds and coughs
  • Heart diseases – protects against
  • Kidney stones – reduces calcium secretion in the kidney therefore preventing formation of stones
  • Veins – strengthens the walls of both capillaries and veins
  • Tumors – helps to reduce breast tumors
  • Beauty uses include bleaching out of freckles and the fading of age spots, also heals acne
  • Skin cancer – lemon tea helps fight off

So now you know there are many distinct possibilities to the natural healing properties of the humble lemon. Here is a quick and easy method using lemon juice to help treat acne. Keep in mind, however, that this method may have to be repeated over the course of 2 to 4 weeks before any lasting results are noticed.

Method One: Apply lemon juice to areas of the face affected by pimples. Let the juice stay on the face for up to 10 minutes, then rinse off with cool water. This solution will work as a natural exfoliate by rubbing off dead skin tissue.

Method Two: Other citrus juices may also be used and diluted as a way to alleviate the presence of external cysts and painful blackheads.

Combine citrus juice with cucumber and stir in a bit of almond oil. Once mixed up, apply it to the entire area where acne exists and leave on for a period of 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Home remedies may not always be accurate or viable. You should always consult a doctor or professional before using some home remedies or solutions. Although you should be cautions there can be no denying that home remedies can be a viable part of a holistic healing process – it may just take for you to be open to the possibilities.
