Natural Rosacea Treatments

The inflammatory skin condition known as Rosacea, can cause those who are predisposed to it to feel very embarrassed. Some even find it has even impacted them psychologically, significantly lowering their self-esteem and self-confidence when left untreated.

Natural Rosacea TreatmentsIf you are of Caucasian descent you may have inherited this ‘Celtic curse’ and although no scientific research has been performed to verify this, if you are of Irish, English, Welsh, Scottish, Scandinavian or of eastern European descent you may also have a relative who had/has similar symptoms to yours.

You will be relieved to learn, then, that there are natural Rosacea treatments for ways to manage your tendency to flush easily.

The following methods may help the incidences of Rosacea lessen and the severity of the aggravation of your redness fades.

Alternative natural therapists such as dieticians, herbalists, naturopaths may subscribe to some of the following methods:

• Introducing anti-inflammatory foods into your diet such as; ginger, alkalisers such as melon and detoxifying foods such as seaweed.

• Taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every morning. Believed to stimulate the release of digestive enzymes which work toward normalizing intestinal bacteria.

• Undergoing a detoxing body cleansing treatment.

If you are troubled by the sight of your facial redness and flushing or if your condition presents more as bumps and pimples and thickened skin, you will be best advised to talk to your physician. As your individual level of rosacea may respond effectively from using a topical mediation, oral antibiotic and/or topical steroid cream.

Whatever method you choose to alleviate your symptoms. You may also benefit from using gentle skin care and cosmetics with ant-inflammatory ingredients such as: aloe vera, provitamin B5, green tea, algae and zinc to sooth irritated skin.

Follow these simple steps to make sure your facial care routine is as gentle and non-irritating as possible.

1. Use non-perfumed, mild creams formulated for sensitive skin to cleanse your face morning and night. Apply a small dollop of cleansing cream to your fingertips. Spread the cleanser on your forehead, cheeks and chin and either disperse using your fingers, a 100% soft cotton pad or facial washcloth. Avoid using skin care accessories such as rough washcloths, loofahs, brushes or sponges.

2. Rinse your face splashing with lukewarm water only. Be careful to avoid holding your face under the shower rose unless the temperature has been turned down to lukewarm.

3. Blot your face dry with a thick soft cotton towel. Be gentle and do not rub, pull, tug your face harshly.

4. Spritz your face with a toner – unless you have very oily skin.

5. Apply a moisturizer to help maintain a balanced hydration within the skin.

6. Let the moisturizer soak in before applying a sun protection cream with a minimum SPF15+

One particular facial skin care cream we have heard great reviews on at Skin Health Hub is: Revitol Rosacea Cream. Specifically formulated with anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial agents, Revitol Rosacea Cream reduces the appearance of surface blood vessels, bumps or pimples and treats the redness and irritation associated with the symptoms of rosacea.
