Home-Made Skin Booster Remedies

Caring for your skin need not be difficult or expensive. There are plenty of home-made skin booster remedies available at your disposal and some of the ingredients already live in your pantry cupboard!

  1. Get 8 hours beauty sleep
    There is a reason why it is called ‘beauty sleep’. Sleep is needed to give the body time to repair and renew itself. Another good reason to get some shut-eye is the connection between sleep and weightloss as you detox while you sleep.
  2. Add Epsom salts to your bath or foot spa
    Why Epsom salts? Because they’re rich in sulphur and relaxing magnesium to aid detoxification (avoid if you are pregnant).
  3. Dry brush your body
    Brush your body with a natural-bristle brush to exfoliate dead skin cells, reduce the appearance of cellulite. Use long brush strokes in an upward direction toward your heart to help drain the lymphatic system of toxins.
  4. Make your own body scrub
    If you don’t have a body brush then you can make your own body scrub to cleanse your skin. Combine one cup of sugar, half a cup of coconut oil and two tablespoons of ground coffee.
  5. Juice your vegetables
    Juicing is a great way to make sure you are getting the vitamins, nutrients and fibre you need whilst clearing out your digestive system and bowels when detoxing. Juicing a blend of green vegetables such as spinach, celery, cucumber, parsley and mint has great alkalizing and cleansing power. Add a little sweetness with lemon or half an apple.
