6. Limit Alcohol Intake. For healthy men and women, this means drink no more than two standard drinks on any day. The health risks associated with drinking alcohol can affect your liver or cause brain damage, heart disease, high blood pressure and increases your risk of many cancers. Evidence shows that alcohol can cause accelerated or premature aging.

7. Don’t Smoke. Premature aging of skin caused by external factors such as cigarette smoking has negative effects on the skin and this declination effect is known as extrinsic aging.

8. Avoid Sun. Wear Protective Clothing such as a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses and light-weight long sleeved garments when out in the sun to protect your skin and eyes.

9. Sleep. Try to get at least six hours of sleep a night.
